When you are coordinating a shared journey, matching collection and return times with passenger schedules is often the most pressing challenge. A group travelling around Mevagissey needs a transport plan that accounts for accommodation departures and handover logistics without rushing anyone involved.
Aligning Collection and Return Windows
Before booking, establish exactly when your party arrives and how early the vehicle must be returned. If your itinerary involves a tight departure or an evening return, ask how flexible the handover windows are and whether out-of-hours drops are permitted. Aligning these practical times early prevents paying for wasted hours or scrambling to meet an inconvenient deadline.
Checking Licence Categories Across Your Nominated Drivers
A vehicle shortlist quickly narrows down once you verify who will actually sit behind the wheel. Minibus categories vary significantly in weight and seat capacity, which may dictate which licences permit someone to drive. Ask providers about their accepted licence classifications and driver age policies before settling on a specific vehicle size.
Assessing Headcount Against True Passenger Space
Brochure seat counts rarely reflect comfortable travel with luggage. Sixteen passenger seats leave minimal boot room if everyone brings weekend bags, sporting kit, or provisions. Calculating genuine space means treating every passenger and their bags as a unit, ensuring travellers are never forced to stack luggage around their feet.
Specifying Onboard Gear and Kit Upfront
Listing child car seats, mobility aids, or bulkier sports kit at the outset helps narrow down vehicle types immediately. Outlining these items early allows providers to check anchor points and storage configurations. Raising specialist gear during your initial enquiry avoids awkward compromises at departure.
